It is mandatory to licence dogs with the
Agri-food Authority. The following form may be downloaded and
presented in person at Post Offices, or by post to the address
supplied below.
Government regulations allow a maximum of three
dogs in private properties (i.e. houses & private apartments), and
one dog of an approved
breed in HDB (Housing Development Board) apartments. If you are
coming to Singapore from overseas, it is less likely that your
accommodation would be in a HDB dwelling, these being primarily for
Singaporeans & permanent residents. However, it is also worth
noting that cats are not allowed as domestic pets by the HDB.
